The safest way to replace flange gasket
Open the bypass valve, close the inlet and outlet valves at both ends of the replacement valve in turn, which are the upper and lower flow valves.
There are steps to replace flange gasket:
Open the bypass valve, close the inlet and outlet valves at both ends of the replacement valve in turn, which are the upper and lower flow valves. Open the exhaust valve, pour the discharged liquid into the dirty oil tank, and confirm the success of pressure relief.
(2) Use a spanner to screw out the flange bolts (when removing four flange bolts, first remove one of them, do not remove the other three bolts, and then use a crowbar to correct them; use a crowbar to pry out the flange, and then take it out, and use a scraper to clean the two flange surfaces of the old gasket.
(3) Select a suitable washer, evenly coat a layer of grease on both sides, pad the washer on the sealing surface between the two flanges, align the center of the two flanges with the center of the bolt hole, install the bolt, and then tighten the nut, evenly and forcefully tighten the nut diagonally for many times. It is recommended that the bolt extend 2 to 3 screw pitches from the nut.
(4) After the flange gasket is installed, it should be qualified after the working pressure test without leakage, then open the inlet valve and the precipitation valve, close the bypass gate, then pack the tools and clean up the site.
Precautions for replacing flange gasket: (1) ventilate during indoor operation to prevent oil and gas from reacting and poisoning under working conditions. (2) The operation procedures shall comply with the safe and civilized operation. The operation of the on-off valve shall be stable. The personnel shall stand on their side to avoid injury caused by the screw flying out. When using tools, they shall be handled with care to avoid sparks caused by impact and collision. After the operation is completed, the work shall be completed, the materials shall be cleaned and the site shall be cleaned.
